It sounds like you are just a little burned out. Nothing wrong with taking a break. It will be here when you get ready.

Echoing some earlier advice here. When you do what you need is something fresh and different. Look on the mods page for logos and uniforms you have never used. Or make your own. There are excellent tools there that make it easier than it has ever been. Start a new game fully fictional with a whole new look.

You might consider all fictional teams and players. Don't reuse any team pr player name you have heard before. If you want to learn to focus on stats then just turn off the ratings. Stats only is a legitimate way to play OOTP that many players like. It's not for everyone but it's worth a shot. It's not easier or harder, but it is different.

Build feeder leagues for your draft pool. Scouting feeder leagues and planning your draft is a whole new component you may not have tried. It's extremely engrossing I've found. In my fictional league I all but ignore my major league team through may and june watching the feeder news pages and stat pages.

Pick a different era. Believe it or not OOTP plays differently pre-1900. More hits, worse fielding, more errors. TXRanger & Knuckler have made gigbytes of fictional and factual uniforms for pre modern teams. They are really high quality.

Try a promotion/relegation league. It's not for me I can tell you. But it IS different.

Another idea is to be ruthless with league management. Turn off revenue sharing and compensatory draft picks. If a club can't survive, move it. Or contract it. That is something different. Take over one of your seriously revenue distressed clubs and try to save it. MLB (and default OOTP fictional) has measures to help low revenue clubs survive and recover. Take those away and see if you can sink or swim with one of them. Trust me, that with doing your own scouting, managing, & stats only IS a challenge.
