Draft Recap

--With the first overall pick the Marlins pick IF Alex Freeland out of a Florida HS. Freeland is a toolsy stud who looks like he could stick at short. He has the upside of a .300 hitter hitting 35 home runs annually.

Our picks:
1st round 28th overall: OF Whitney Sceviour- Sceviour fell down to the 28th pick overall and we were happy to grab him. The 6'4" outfielder is probably too big and slow to stick in center, but his bat is where he will make his money. He has unbelievable strike zone recognition and is capable of hitting for both average and power.

2nd round, 59th overall: OF Josh Shuler- Another toolsy high-school outfielder. He's got a good arm but lacks range so he will probably stick in a corner. He has a swing-and-miss tendency but 60 grade raw power.

3rd round, 89th overall: RHP Colby Davis- High floor righty out of Arizona State with a devastating curveball. Operates in the low 90's.
