In the midst of a breakout season, Florida CF Leith Bursey has agreed to terms on a 5 year 25.15 million dollar extension to make him one of the games highest paid players. Just 26 years old the Gold Glove CF is off to a career-best .324-14-53 through the Tarpons first 44 games. The final year of the deal is a player option at 5.025 million.
GM'S OFFICE
This had to get done and it got done at below market value. He's 26, switch hits, is a gold glove defender and a prominent voice in the clubhouse. He's on his way to a bronze plaque if he can remain healthy.
