File > Settings > 3D & Facegen

Facegen Zoom - In (larger face) - This will zoom in on the players face when hovering over a players name

Profile Picture Zoom - Out (more jersey) - This is what you want.

*Edit*: For the record... I was always more of a Fresh Beat Band kinda guy than Yo Gabba Gabba...
