Game two

Pittsburgh Federico Escobedo (14-8 4.66) @ Florida- Yasushi Sugihara (14-7 3.65)

We managed to jump out in front on a Hallamore 2 R HR (POTG), but Sugihara gave up a world sereies record four doubles in one inning to allow the Miners to get back and eventually tie the game.
Miner pitching set a record in the 5th. After a leadoff single by Leith Bursey, then Chase and Funicello strikeouts, Pittsburgh pitchers, with the bases full of Tarpon, walked three consecutive hitters to force in 3 runs and turn a 4-4 tie into a 7-4 lead. Sugihara got the win, but it was four scoreless from the Pen that sealed it.
  • Florida 9 Pittsburgh 4
  • W-Sugihara (2-0) L-Escobedo (2-2) S-Turner (2)
  • HR FLA: Hallamore (3)
  • POTG Hallamore 2-4 2B (2) HR (3) 2 RBI (10)
  • Florida leads the series 2-0
