If he missed the bunt, the runner should be credited with a steal of home, I'd think.
But he also couldn't have put the ball in play, because if he puts it in play he can't see another pitch.
But he also can't have fouled it off, because the runner can't score on a foul ball.
But the 0-2 also can't be the squeeze bunt, because he pops it up on the infield, and the runner can't possibly score on that one either.
Fascinating! He is really Schroedinger's Batter. Is he still at the plate? Has he made an out yet? Is the answer really "both"?
