I've been using the almanac because it saves all your game logs and box scores for each season. I'm doing a historical replay from 1871 onwards, and I actually post all the html files to a website to supplement the thread/blog entries that I do.
That said, it does not work perfectly online out of the box. There is some heavy duty html code editing that needs to be done to get everything to work well. So...that's what I use the almanac for. I create one at the end of each year so that anyone who wants to look at the individual game logs and box scores for any year can do so.
