I'd really like to see a simplified financial system in which a league would have only 3 or 4 financial settings: A simple total budget for every team, a very hard salary cap, etc.

I don't want to turn off financials entirely because improving a team is difficult without free agency, etc. But I would like to be able to have all the teams on an equal financial footing.
