do you delegate promotions or control it all?
if you delegate, you just have to advance a day or click "have ai setup complete mil system" on Rosters and Transactions screen.
if you don't delegate, some go to rookie, some go to SA-AAA. most will go to rookie except for college aged draftees from earlier rounds. it probably saves the most click-n-drag by having them go there for most players, unfortunately. only a handful are good enough to play above rookie or SA the first year.
i shortlist my initial picks of importance, but you could shortlist them all as you draft and then and nice easy list of your rookies to right click and promote as needed.
sorting by "pro svc years" on your lowest level rookie team will line them up too. may need to edit the view to add that column.
