Duane Ward bagged his first Mariano Rivera Award in 1905, which is great to see for this Blue Jays fan. Especially since Dave Stieb has battled injuries and poor performance the last two years since making the 1903 AL All-Star team with Jim Clancy and David Wells. Tom Davey was also a Blue Jays' prospect before a couple of other stops in Seattle and San Diego IRL. I've had Ward in a game before and he was the best damn reliever I've ever seen. IIRC he went to nine All-Star games, and won 4 MRAs. Interestingly enough, he also started out with Washington in that game. Jim Clancy and David Wells are in the 1905/1906 free agent class as well, so I'm getting lots of Blue Jay content. At least, on the pitching side of the ledger.
