With Willard Burton on the mound the Gators blew open the game with a 6 run sixth as the Gators moved within one win of the World Series with a 9-3 win over the Marlins. Willard Burton picked up the win with 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits.

Shawn Spears hit his 10th home run of the postseason, while Keith Hudson added a solo home run and Hector Lopez drove in 4 runs with a pair of doubles.
