1) Are you missing any exports or imports? Messages will be blank if you miss an sim and the league file setting have a short half life for messages.
2) Can you read all of the new messages? Are there new messages you cannot access?
3) Ask you commissioner to email you the messages folder from his game. He can copy, zip and email or dropbox/goodrive whatever. I would save the messages folder you have now out of the game folders and place his messages folder to see if that fixes the problem.

4) You can also look in your messages folder, you will see a bunch of .txt files. Open them and you can see the content.
