Not sure if this is tongue-in-cheek or not, but if so this is a massive assertion to make based on 24 games. OOTP isn't an MLB simulator, it's a baseball simulator; it doesn't care who Bryce Harper, Manny Machado or the Baltimore Orioles are, it cares how they're rated. It's possible that these guys have regressed some, or it's possible these guys are just slumping to start the year off. In the case of Harper, it's possible he's taking some time to adjust to his new digs, as the game accounts for that in a hidden rating for each player called adaptability. Depending on what your settings are, it's also possible your team clubhouse lacks a leader or is generally struggling with culture.
I can't tell you how many times I've started below par in a game only to rebound and make the playoffs. I had one season a couple OOTPs ago where I started somewhere around 15-30 with a definite 100 win roster, lost one of my two elite SPs for the year, and rebounded to have the most wins in the league. You can't let 15% of your season determine that your team is worse than you thought it might be.
