I'd actually contract Tampa Bay, since I always thought they were kind of out of place in their division, and in the American League as a whole geographically. I'd add a team in Portland to replace them, move the Brewers back to the American League where they belong, and align the divisions as follows:

AL East: Yankees, Blue Jays, Red Sox, Orioles

AL North: Indians, Brewers, Tigers, Twins

AL Central: Royals, Astros, Rangers, White Sox

AL West: Mariners, Angels, Athletics, Portland

NL East: Braves, Charlotte, Marlins, Nationals

NL North: Phillies, Mets, Expos, Pirates

NL Central: Reds, Cardinals, Cubs, *****Rockies*****

NL West: Dodgers, Padres, Giants, Diamondbacks

***** This sounds worse geographically than it actually is when you look at these divisional groupings on a map.
