20 Years Review 1946-1965

I thought I would just give a review of the first 20 years of the sim history. A little about some of the games stars and the up and coming young players.

Two of the Biggest stars had to be Ted Williams and Mickey Mantle as they won 13 of the 20 MVP's in the AL.
Williams dominated the 40's and 50's with 15 All Star selections and 4 MVP Awards. He played 20 seasons with the Red Sox.

Mantle joined the Yankees in 1950 and only trails Babe Ruth as he currently has 590 career HR's at age 34. He has 9 MVP Awards and 15 All Star game appearances.

Only 3 players in the NL had won multiple MVP awards, Duke Snider (3), Ernie Banks (2) and Willie Mays (2).

Snider played all 17 seasons with the Dodgers and retired after the 1963 season with 481 HR's.

Mr. Cub Ernie Banks will begin his 14th season with he Cubs, ROY, 10 time AS and 6 Gold Gloves.

Willie Mays 14 AS selections in 15 seasons with the Giants. His 521 HR's rank him 5th All Time. He has also won 8 straight Gold Gloves (9 overall)5.

The Dodgers dominating the pitching stats as their pitchers won 10 of the 20 Cy Young Awards, including the last. With Koufax, Drysdale and now Sutton LA looks to be a dominate pitching force into the last 60's.

14 different pitchers have won the honor in the AL with nobody winning more than twice.

Here is a look at some of the accomplishments of some of the games biggest stars that are still active
