Patriots Raise Rally Flag, Beat Ducks, 6-4

Bridgewater Township, New Jersey: The Patriots grabbed the first game of the series with a 6 to 4 win at TD Bank Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Long Island pitcher Jake Fisher. Fisher went 5 innings and allowed no earned runs, walking 3 and striking out 3. He was relieved in the 6th by Ashur Tolliver, who allowed just 1 hit and striking out 3 in 2 scoreless innings of work. Then the bottem fell in as Rob Rogers allowed 4 runs on 2 hits and 2 walks in 2/3 of an inning and then Francisco Rodriguez gave up the walk off homer in the bottom of the 9th. The winner was Dustin Molleken in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Francisco Rodriguez took the loss. The Patriots raised their record to 3-1.

Julio Borbon chipped in for Somerset with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.
