Might need to adjust your pitcher stamina in your league settings under the Stats & AI tab. Once there you'll look for general strategic tendencies. Mine is set to 'high' plus I have pinch hit for pitchers set to 'rarely.' But, that's because I have a personal preference for starters to complete games in my fictional league. With these settings solid pitchers in my league consistently throw over 100 pitches in a game. In the last game I watched one pitcher throw 125 pitches while the other threw 103. Both completed the game.
