The Expos SP
Eddie Hernanez again didn't seem like he was going to get the run support and after he gave up back to back HRs in the 6th, it looked bleak again. But this time it was the Expos that got a clutch HR to secure the win.
Expos 3B
Gene Watkins came into the game as a PH in the 8th and promptly hit a 3-run Jack to give the Expos a 5-2 lead. It was Watkins 2nd HR as an Expos and 5th HR of the season.
Despite the Astros losing and the Expos running up the pitch count, SP
Jamari Taft was the player of the game. The 30 year old is now 5-4 with a 2.50 ERA in 16 games including 15 starts. He has a 1.74 ERA as an Astro in 5 starts. Last season Taft was 8-6 with a 2.47 ERA in 21 starts for the Expos.
