January 2nd, 2021: Well, I guess I was wrong, as the Giants claimed Eliezer Alvarez off waivers. It's not a big loss, but a depth loss.

January 3rd, 2021: I claimed righty Dylan M. Thompson off waivers from the Royals and sent him to A+ Jupiter. He's a former 4th rounder back in 2015 form the Mariners.

The Diamondbacks had a reunion with RF Adam Eaton, and signed the 32-year-old to a 2 year, $7.3 million per year contract. He's returning to the organiation he broke into the majors with and the team that drafted him out of Miami in the 19th round.

The Rockies added 3B Matt Duffy to a 6-year, $51,300,000 contract.

January 6th, 2021: I claimed 3B Tyler Nevin off waivers from the Rockies and sent him to AA Jacksnoville. He was a roster casualty after the Duffy signing.

January 11th, 2021: Since he was out of options, I shopped around Yonny Chirinos, and ended up sending him to the Pirates, re-aquiring Bryce Tucker and 1B Seth Beer.

Both are 24, and Beer is the headliner. He's average at first and can play a little corner outfield, but his calling card is his power and eye, rated 78 and 83 respectively. He's also currently a 2/3, so he's basically ready to contribute at the major league level.

January 13th, 2021: The Jays must love lefty relievers, as they added Dan Jennings to a 1-year, $3,800,000 contract.

The Rockies gave Mashiaro Tanaka 5-years and $98,400,000 to pitch in Coors field, with the last year a player option. In 2020 his ERA was 5.30, so I don't quite know how that's going to play in Coors.

January 19th, 2021: Former Marlin 1B Justin Bour signed a 3-year, $10,300,000 per year contract with the Indians. This will be his 4th organization in as many years.

January 20th, 2021: It took 9 years, but Roger Clemens is headed to the Hall of Fame! The only other players closer are Mike Mussina (67.2) and Curt Schilling (60.6) although next year will be year 9 and 10 respectively.

The Indians extended closer Cody Allen to a 3-year, $14,200,000 per year contract.
