In my first season (MLB Quickstart), there were only about 3 trades in the final two weeks before the Trade Deadline, and none of them were very big deals. This just seemed really low, so I was wondering what other results people were getting. I haven't touched the trade frequency settings, but maybe changing them throughout the year is the way to go. I'm also not sure if this makes a difference, but for difficulty I'm using Hard/Neutral.
