What's more, guys may come up from AAA as role or utility players but after a few seasons develop into stars.
If your system is producing the players you need, when you need them, that's all that matters. Your system could be ranked dead last but say if you need a utility infielder and you have three viable guys in AAA who can fill the role, your system is producing for you.
Your system could be ranked #1 overall. That does you no good if you need players right now and all of those top prospects are in low A ball, three years away.
As I said above, judge your system on your team's needs. If it's meeting those needs that's all that matters.
