The Montreal Expos (13-11) will try to win the 3 game series with the San Francisco Giants (10-13) in the final game of the series. The fans that gathered at AT&T Park saw a good contest between the Expos and Giants.

The Giants got a magnificent performance from SP Jeff Brown who muffled the Expos offense enroute to a tight 3-1 Giants win. Carlos Sanchez picked up the save, his 6th.

Brown is now 3-2 with a 1.06 ERA in 6 starts for the Giants. This is Brown's 10th season in the MLB, his previous best for WAR was in 1970 when he was 4-8 with a 2.15 ERA in 21 starts for the Astros.

Brown was effective for the Giants, seldom allowing the Expos to square up a pitch. The RHP tossed 87 pitches over 8 innings. He limited the Expos to just 1 run on 3 hits.

The Expos manager was quoted as saying "we made a couple of mistakes (2 errors) and the cost us."

Expos SP Eddie Hernanez falls to 3-2.
