I agree with this approach 100% as it allows you to build an identify with your team and if you focus on contact, high on base percentage and amazing defense I can almost guarantee a playoff berth. Also as Malor stated I will go out and sign a free agent slugger or trade for the guy who is different from what I drafted and brought through my system as the final piece.
