Invited this kid from low-A Lakewood to spring training. He was 27 so I wanted to see if he had anything to offer, otherwise I was cleaning house in my system and he would have to go. The kid had a decent spring so I decided to give him a stint in the majors.

You can see the stats below for his first three seasons: 3x All-Star, 3X Silver Slugger, ROTY, World Series Champ, and he just won his first MVP.

I was totally shocked and decided to google him IRL. He was a 17th round pick last year for the Phillies. Totally blew my mind. Went straight from Low-A to All-Star.
