I haven't seen him enough yet to have formed my own opinion on him. But looking at his defensive stats on b-r, the only season where he seems to have been truly terrible out there was 2 years ago in 2016. Most other seasons he grades out as only slightly below-average, and in 2015 he was actually slightly
above-average. You could maybe bump him up at least to the point where the AI lets him keep his position...
