In my 18 fictional I ran started in 1871 and simmed to 2015 then took over a team, the career HR leader only hit 468 HRs. I haven't done it yet with 19 to see how the career leaders shake out. I don't remember any specific examples, but I know I did this a lot with 18 and I was never unhappy with how things turned out.

With 19, I am moving away from trying to create a fictional history of MLB with stats, etc. I just did a 200 year sim using 1976 stats & finances for the whole thing and I liked the way it turned out. I only had one 60 HR season, one 700 HR career and it wasn't even the same guy.

That league was a 'just to see what happens' league and I think I like the results. I am going to do the same thing but start in 1876 and grow into MLB.

Good luck. I'm interested to see how your league turns out.
