For reference, in my league in 2031 there are 15 players making between 30 and 37m per year. The only outlier being a player of mine who is making 44m in year 1 of a 10 year deal where he's making 8.8m the other 9 years. He's 24 and I signed him to the contact after he had 1 year 104 days of service time and had a boatload of available cap space. He was 72/80 at the time of the signing, was durable, with low greed and high loyalty. Had I waited one more year to sign him he'd have required an extra 50m. Wait a year after that, another 50m+.
