Anyone know of tips (options to enable/disable, settings, etc.) to sim thru seasons in a relatively speedy way?

I'm playing an MLB league with full MiLB system (fictional players though). No feeder leagues or parallel major leagues or anything.

Anyway, I'm noticing trying to sim through seasons that the sim hangs for long minutes on "Clearing Schedule"... it can sit there for close to 10 minutes trying to get through whatever 'clearing' is taking place before the sim resumes. Thing is, it does this multiple times in the course of a season (not sure why it has to clear schedules more than once or maybe twice).

Anyone else experiencing this? And anyone know what might be the cause of the long delays "Clearing Schedule" is creating?
