Not trying to attack anyone but jesus the take that "Roger Marris is still the home run king!" is so stupid.

he said AL home run king, and that is true.
Repercussions are a choice.. mlb could choose to punish them and remove them from teh record books etc - they have done it before... but they don't now. they were cheaters relative to the rules no matter what the mlb does. it's more about money and avoiding embarassment by denying it was a real problem (is a real problem).
rules do not constitute morals or ethics. they are a reflection of them or a lack of them in many instances. also, when the powers that be actively choose to ignore good rules, it is morally indefensible behaviour.
they could care less if the players actively ruin their future health for more entertaining offensive numbers. that's a win-win from their perspective. the system itself is setup to cause this sort of behaviour through intense competition. (it's deplorable, like putting a poor person in a closed booth and blast money though the air for them to catch type of nonsense -- only in this case the players are damaging their health for a chance at larger sums of money)
it's not just about the game.. it is about the ~50* years that person will live after they retire form the game. they cheat the game and themselvs by using PEDs of any sort... heck, half the stuff they do to themselves isn't even based in reality and possibly only negative effects occur.
(like a corked bat doens't help, physics can prove it!! it is undeniably a myth of ignorance and nonsense.)
amphetamines probably don't help while AB, but many abuse them - like mantle, maris etc even the old guys abused amphetimines. let alone smoking and being drunk in the clubhouse, lol.
*once you get to ~40 and have money like they do, your life expectancy should be WAY over the average you read about.
