Sounds like a decent way to build up your abilities. Most games have beginner, medium and advanced modes. I guess this is part of the beginner mode for OOTP. No problem with being a beginner. You've gotta start somewhere. Eventually you'll get there, but don't overwhelm yourself. This is a VERY DEEP game. Take your time and get used to it at your own pace.
