I've been a Cardinals fan ever since at least 1982, and I was really happy to see them beat the Brewers in 1982, before I was even 10 years old, in fact. As for 1985, I think we were essentially robbed, at least in part, by that missed Dekinger call, and I also remember the 1987 Series against the Twins up here in Minnesota. I think the Twins potentially had an unfair advantage with the Metrodome as their home field, and I generally do not consider teams in non-retractable domed stadiums as sufficiently legitimate World Series champions, or at least not very often, if at all, and never really have. That may or may not really be fair of me to say here, mind you, I admit.
But I've generally always thought that whenever possible, baseball should be played under the open air, and the same thing for football and/or soccer. Basketball and hockey, those sports are another story entirely, though, because those are more commonly not played during the warmer months in the Northern Hemisphere, compared to the reverse, in terms of when most of their games are played during a typical season, as far as I know in most countries of the world.
And I also still have a few negative thoughts about the 2013 World Series against the Boston Red Sox. Nothing personal against the Red Sox or their players or organization, but some things about that World Series still bother me to a degree, at least, I think. Much like my likely still-present thoughts and/or feelings about the Super Bowl played between Pittsburgh and the Cardinals several years back may also be here. Probably in both cases, a lot of them may somehow stem at least from certain thoughts possibly related to the officiating and/or umpiring in the related game or games, to at least some degree, I think.
In this particular game's overall world/universe setup, I don't really want to use domed stadiums any more than I might absolutely have to, but certain teams may have to be placed in a non-retractable domed stadium here, for various reasons. Teams like the Colt .45's/Astros, for example, whether I like it or not, in truth. Even though I am really not a fan of them at all, or at least not much, anyway, if at all.
There are probably going to be a certain number of cloned players in this setup, by the time I'm done setting it up as needed and/or desired, but preferably not too many, of course, at least at first. Just how many might be required, though, is yet to be discovered and/or determined here, of course.
Well, it's probably time for me to perhaps get right back to work here on some more housework, I think, everyone. Until my next post in this thread, at least, if not another one, then, I'll close this, and await more of your potential possible replies here. CD out.
