Not possible, I'm afraid. The way the historical game is set up, the player generation method is inherent to the save and it won't work properly if the old data from the 1917 game is just swapped into a new 1963 game.
That said, I've been thinking about trying to find a way to do a mixed-mode like that where there's only a draft in the real draft years. But it'll be complicated and the resources necessary may be better spent adding some other new features to historical mode.
