Complete Premier League Coverage weeks 1 and 2

Hello Silverstars
So far, all that buying that the Argentum Silverstars did in the offseason is paying off. Argentum is off to a blistering 7-1 start in the inaugural season in the Premier League. The opening weekend sweep of the Wave was impressive, but following that up by take 3 of 4 from the Fateu Blaze really made a statement. This team may be recently promoted, but the club from Scorpia is here to win.

Dust Valley holding their own
While we’re looking at the recently promoted teams, Dust Valley has managed a respectable showing through their first 8 games as well. They started the season by taking 3 of 4 from the Kobol College Twins, but were reeled back into the pack as they dropped 3 of 4 to the Caprica City Buccaneers. Their upcoming schedule is a series against the red hot Silverstars, and then the Ersia Elephants, who currently sit second in the standings. These next 8 games will be the true test of the Riders mettle, and if they can hang with Premier League teams.

Queenstown in trouble early

Still lots of season left to play, but the Queenstown Wave have opened by putting themselves into a hole. The Wave are just 1-7 through the first two weeks of the season. The offense just hasn’t been there for the two-time champions, as they’ve scored the fewest runs in the league through 8. The pitching has been pretty decent, but their hurlers just aren’t getting any run support.

Matchup of the Week
It’s the first of two Colonial Cup rematches as the 5-3 Caprica City Buccaneers take on the 3-5 Promethea Miners. The C-bucs look to keep pace with the Silverstars, while the Miners look to keep from falling too far behind early in the season.
