I tried separate draft days one year by manually setting the event dates in the calendars, but the game forced them all onto the same day. I will try that again though.

f the gui reads fine, try making an new similar but simpler league to test... maybe it's just a 1-time problem during creation and your current league is corrupted somehow. if it works properly in the test, you know you have to recreate it. could try a template, but may also copy the problem over... worth a shot due to convenience.

I'm guessing corruption as well. Probably a good idea to re-test a simpler version.

No they are not sub-leagues of a larger league. Completely separate.
Here's another clue...I experimented one year just before the draft pool was announced: I had the game create free agents eligible for the draft.(for the 3 nations/leagues that weren't creating players before) And it worked -- though they were still combined in a 4-league draft. But it only did so if I manually used this method. It refused to do it on its own the next year.
