Due to the rainout on Thursday, the Rangers will begin their season with a Saturday double header against the Oakland Athletics. This is the second straight year the Rangers will begin the season against the defending AL West Champions. They began last season against the Chicago White Sox. The Rangers activated RP Jim Shellenback from the disabled list.
