The randomness of this is sometimes horrifying but can also be a wonderful thing too. I know I had an 8th round pick become a hall of fame right fielder because he got a huge jump in ability and went from a sometimes pinch runner to an absolute stud .310 lifetime hitter with 500 plus homers.
I use 75 and it doesn't happen that often. I know the default is 100 but I just found far far far too many times my players just became junk.
