TU STARS TROUNCE RU, 7TH WIN IN A ROW
The Tycobbian Stars trounced the Ruthlandian Stars 9-4 at Granger Field in Wynnamac Wednesday afternoon for their seventh triumph in a row in the IPA All-Star Classic... should the TU Stars win again next year, they will tie the record of eight consecutive victory in the All-Star series... Tycobbian set the record by winning from 2003 to 2010... the TU All-Stars banged out 12 hits, including five doubles and two homers in demolishing the RU All-Stars... LF Norishige Ito (Midway) and Kazuki Tamura (Ginza) went deep for the winners, while C Darrell Dillon (Colfax) homered for the losers... Ito (Midway) and RF Daryl Vale (Midway) collected two hits apiece for Tycobbia and LF Curtis Cochran (Belair Beach) socked three for Ruthlandia... the game's Most Valuable Player Juliano Machado (Luxora) picked up the win... he worked three inning, struck out three and permitted only one run... RU Stars' starter Antonio Cedeno got the loss, tagged for two runs in the first two innings... the Tycobbian All-Stars increased their lead in the series... they have an overwhelming 38-18 margin in the annual classic.
