The 1962 Hall of Fame Class:
Mark McGwire, 1B
Another easy choice, "Big Mac" hit .263/.370/.485/.854 (141 OPS+, 142 wRC+) with 1,488 R, 2,496 H, 322 2B, 585 HR, 1,650 RBI, 1,609 BB, and 2,154 K. Pretty good control of the strike zone K/BB wise for a big slugger. He was a 9-time All-Star, with 1 MVP (1939), 5 Gold Gloves, 7 Silver Sluggers, 1 Championship (1953 with the Tigers), and the 1938 NLCS MVP Award. Everything's there except speed for this guy. Just 6 SB and 7 CS for his entire career. But that's not exactly what he was paid a total of $827,340 to do is it?
