Newark has lost ace pitcher Nick Flores for the rest of the season. They were only off to a 3-6 start with him. They are in trouble. Maybe there will be a job for me if that moron, Josh Guy Junior, fires me.

Meanwhile, we just swept the Providence Silversmiths in Providence. We have been really good so far!

The first game's final score was 6-4 with Nelson Ortiz getting the win and Edward Franco pitching a perfect ninth to close it out. Leadoff hitter Elijah Grievous was 3 for 4, but the real start was Matt Sweeney, whose only hit was a top of the ninth inning 2-run RBI to win it.

The second game was 7-6 in 11 innings. Dustin Caldwell had a pinch-hit RBI single to win it.

In the third game, Frey went the distance for the third time in 3 games to win 3-2.

At 8-2, we trail the Congress by 1 game. We might be able to compete this year!
