I'm not sure if this is a bug per se, but it is sorta bugging me.

In my league, a manager led his team to first place and the playoffs for the first time with a 88-66 record. He has been the only manager the team has had for it's entire 11 seasons before finally breaking through and winning the championship this past season. Two days later, he and his staff were shown the door (contracts not renewed). The team was 73-81 last season and finished in 4th place.

10 days later, the award for best manager for that league went to the manager of the third-place team, who missed the playoffs again (80-74). The previous year, the team went 70-84 and a 7th place finish (in an 8-team league). That's a nice turn-around and all, but I still think the award should have gone to the first place team's manager.

Assuming that the first-place team's manager was the most deserving, is this a bug, or just a limitation with OOTP in not being able to recognize deserving winners because they are no longer employed?
