I am GM'ing the Padres and, last night, I pulled a great trade for A's pitcher, Sonny Gray. His morale after the trade is Great, but....he is up for arbitration. I wanted to negotiate a contract to keep him locked up, but when I did, he says he doesn't want to play for manager Andy Green because their personalities clash.
So how do I lock up Gray? Do I try to find another manager? I thought I would keep Green on and see how he does this year with some acquisitions I am making.
Help.
