1987 was the first year I really knew all the players so it is usually my starting point for dynasty mode games and I love the idea of NY having a third team. Moving the Expos and re-branding them is a favorite scenario but I didnt want the handicap of the Montreal fan interest and economy trying to compete with the Mets and Yankees.
If you think about it, what would the market size for a third NY team actually be? It's a misperception that it's based on population or television markets.

I think of market size as how many fans/supporters they have. If you plop a 3rd team in New York, how many New Yorkers would support them over the yankees of the mets? By the way, the Met's market size is about average even though they play in NY. That's because the majority of NYers are Yankee fans. The money goes to the Yankees. I think if NY actually got a 3rd team, the market size would be smaller than you might think.
