I think I was starting to get ahead of myself. Things were just going too well this offseason. The chips were just starting to fall with signing Paco Ledezma (5-8, 40 SV, 3.24 ERA) and 3B John Barnett (.252, 30 HR, 88 RBI) to 3 year deals.

Then the Monks came calling with a trade sending us 30 year old right fielder Hugh Thomas (.274, 13 HR, 30 RBI) in exchange for 3B Darwin O'Clerkin and the recently acquired pitching prospect Curt Allen. Disappointing to say the least.
