Game 1
Cooney Weiland and
Hooley Smith scored 90 seconds apart in the 2nd to give the
Maroons a 2-0 lead. After making it a 1 goal game early in the third,
Howie Morenz tied the game with his 5th of the post season. The
Maroons responded right away.
Joe Primeau converted a
Art Coulter pass for the eventual game winning goal. The
Maroons win game one, 4-2.
Game 2
Joe Primeau scored an early opening goal.
Cooney Weiland made it 2-0, and the
Maroons were off to the races. It was 3-0 before
Howie Morenz finally scored, but that was all the
Canadiens were gonna get. Two third period goals for the
Maroons sealed the victory. 5-1
Maroons, and they sweep the series!
