Simulating games

Well, I've played at least 15 multi-season campaigns in OOTP18 and I must say that there is a big difference between playing the ball as the GM with AI manager and simply choosing the "Finish today!" option and simulating the outcome.

1. In every single career I've played there was a big difference in winning percentage between the games I've simply simulated and the ones I've watched in their entirety.
2. In my last campaign I ran a great team, winning 7 out of last 10 games and being first in the AL. Then I tried simulating, lost 9 out of 10 and overall dropped to the 5th place. I even lost 4 games in a row to the worst team in the league that couldn't even win .300.
3. I did an experiment several times with different teams - played a month with watching every game, then reverted and simulated them all. In the first case - most games won, second - most games lost. Sometimes the difference is huge - like in my 1916 Red Sox campaign I've managed to keep the first place and almost .700 winning percentage, but simulating I've dropped to the 6th place in a month, dropping way below .500. Note that I left everything to the AI when watching those games so there is no player vs. AI advantage.

Has anyone else experienced this? It seems that this keeps happening in every career I'm playing.
