if you didn't alter much, the median team in finances report will be a good ballpark figure without doing any math. if 30, then # 15/16 teams - ish ballpark.

the estimated average doesn't account for extra moneys available, if any. e.g. if you see estimated profit ~50M or more, you should expect 10-20M or more average payroll than what is estimated. teams will spend ~25-30m on other expenses, and if you have owner control over budget that's one more thing to consider when it comes to all that extra cash relative to average total revenue. you'll estimate better than the game in many situations.
