Montreal continues on the road to face the New York Islanders (17-40-11). Montreal has won all three meetings this season including a 2-1 win t the Barclay Center the last time they played in the Bronx.

Montreal goes on a PP with just under 2 minutes left in the game and take advantage as C Jeff Pilbeam tips LW Emile Boudreau's shot for his 16th of the year at 19:48. G Martin King holds on for the shut out as the Canadiens out shot the Islanders 25-22 in the win.
