Complete Premier League Coverage weeks 11 and 12
Fateu Blaze insert themselves into picture
In a relatively quiet two weeks at the top of the table, the Fateu Blaze have taken the opportunity to get within striking distance of the top. The Blaze are 6-2 over their last 8, including a big sweep of the Queenstown Wave. This is the best mark in the league for the last two weeks.
C-Bucs suffer big loss
Bad news for the Caprica City Buccaneers, as they have announced Center Fielder Dave Hendrick is out for the year with a broken kneecap. The Scoripa native slipped while rounding second, and fell on the knew awkwardly while attempting to scramble back to the base. He was hitting .286 with 4 home runs and 12 batted in. Hendrick started the season with the Hadrian United as their left fielder, but was traded to Caprica City in week three and took over center field duties.
Elephants closer to safety
The Ersia Elephants are out of the bottom spot in the table for the first time all season. Their 4-4 record of the last 8 games isn’t an impressive mark by any means, but with the Vipers and Reds trending downward, hope is certainly not lost on the Elephant’s squad.
Vipers in trouble
The Landson Vipers are firmly in the relegation zone after a disastrous 0-8 stretch, the Vipers are now 13 games out of first and, more importantly, 4 games out of safety from relegation. The key weakness for Landson is their pitching. The Vipers are last in the league in every pitching category except walks allowed. They surrender over 5 runs a game, while allowing opponents to hit .310 aginst them.
Matchup of the Week results
The Drillers managed to hold their own and split the series with the Miners two games apiece, but then had a bit of a meltdown as they lost 3 of 4 to the Bulls the following week.
Matchup of the Week
Two teams trying to claw their way into a spot for the Colonial Cup Championship, the Caprica City Buccaneers and the Hadrian United will meet to battle it out. The United took 3 of 4 when these met earlier this season.
