maybe a bug?
didn't want to clutter bug section... if someone else cna confirm, i'll copy/paste or link to this thread later.
so, i errantly thought age min/max in player tab of league settings controled age for the draft. as i read in the manual, that is wrong. (i used 18 / 22)
however, it definitely changed the behaviour of my amatuer draft. ~100% if not 100% of all viable prospects were "18" years old, exclusively. (ie under-the-hood decent ratings filling entire range from MiL lifer to future *likely hof'ers). i saw how many were 18, so i started looking and clicking through batters, then pitchers - same thing. any 'older' player was mostly 23-24y.o. and something terrible in their ratings that made them the unviable after short a -- uniform, not just often.
it was a distinct change in behaviour as far as draft pool creation is concerned. i've never seen it, but maybe it 'cycles' like that on occasion??? i do make 4-5 extra rounds of players vs. # of rounds in draft, if that is relevant.
anyway, i just turned it back to "0" and "0" for min/max age and it's back to ~normal. many 19-23y.o. along with 18y.o. throughout 'top' of draft pool. nothing like the previous 2-3 drafts when i set those min/max player age creation options.
