Is there a way to simply end a rehab assignment by sending the player to the minors permanently? Is there some reason this actually isn't allowed (i.e. a rule in MLB or something)? What I usually do is send someone down who already has their option used, then activate them from the DL, then send them down and bring the other player back up.

But there's been a lot of times where the guy I called up is hot and I just want to end the rehab assignment by leaving the guy in the minors, and it's always a hassle.
